SchooLinks has three options for Staff Access caseload
, school
, and district
, level access. This determines how many and which specific students a single staff member will have in their scope.
Within Clever, if a staff member is considered a District Admin, we assign that staff member with district
level access.
Within Clever, if a staff member is considered a Staff or a Teacher, then we consider the schools that the staff record is associated:
caseload
access.school
level access and be assigned to every school that is listed for that record in Clever.<aside> 💡 SchooLinks also has configurable options for managing a staff members student-level access. If you want more information on these options for your district, or are considering a change in the options, you can email [email protected] to help answer any questions or even provide an audit of the accounts that would change if a configuration change is made

True
, we let Clever control the updates to a staff member’s access entirely following the logic posted above. You are unable to make changes to a staff member’s access through Staff Account Management in SchooLinks.False
, then we only follow the logic above when an account is first created. Then any update made to an account must occur through editing the account in Staff Account Management. After the access level is changed to a staff account, the future Clever syncs are not able to change this account’s access level.school
access. However, we can configure a setting to default all teacher records to caseload
. It is important to note that this is what Clever considers a Teacher, if you store counselors as teacher records in Clever, and this setting is enabled, then counselors in SchooLinks will default to caseload
access.
